The journeys of the German artist Daniel Maier-Reimer are usually summarized in only one or two photographs. The form of the exhibitions and publications he leaves to other artists. As the author of his exhibition “Journey from Tokyo to Wakkanai,” I decided to take out all the front windows of the gallery. Thus my position remained invisible, as I felt there should be nothing added to his photos. As the front side of the gallery is consisting of huge windows, Innerspace and outside were not anymore distinguishable. People were entering the gallery not only through the door but mostly through the windows. Being the end of November, the intervention created a special atmosphere in the space.
